Invited for Wendy's New Menu Launch
Well, I blogged about my experience and my love with Wendy's Burger last July.
Little did I know that they were aware of it. So they invited me to an event a few months ago, I was busy back then. Lately, the nice people of Wendy's invited me again for their new RM 6.99 menu, I couldn't held back.
The launch was in Berjaya Times Square coincidentally at their new outlet at Level 3. I went there a bit early as my office is quite near Times Square, I snapped a few pictures.

Their 4 new packs for only RM 6.99.

Me, sitting on my table awaits the start of the launch.

Dato' Francis Lee from Berjaya Group giving his speech....

Managing director of Wendy's Malaysia....
Few facts I learned....
1. Berjaya Times Square outlet is Wendy's Malaysia's 8th outlet.
2. Expected to open up to 70 outlets in the next few years.
3. Currently only based in KL...
4. Chicken used for Fried Chicken is not frozen chicken...
5. After tasting 2 of their new meals, I still love their prawn burger...

After the formality of the opening speechless, I was treated with the new menus! I had Fried Chicken and Cheeseburger. My review HERE.
It nice to have "budget" meals available at bad times like this. "Budget" meal with great value.

Search For Ben & Jerry?
Who la this Ben and who la this Jerry? Well 1 thing it is they worked together to sell one of the funkiest ice-cream in USA.
In my few journeys off Malaysia, I encountered Ben & Jerry. Amazingly, Malaysia didn't even has the franchise and Singapore has been selling like hot cakes. Well, if you remember Max Brenner...? Is Malaysia that hard market?
Anyways, sources I heard that Ben & Jerry has been spotted somewhere in KL. Being a nice citizen of Malaysia and a fan of Ben & Jerry, I would find this place and post it again if I could find it. Wish me luck...
Ben & Jerry's is a brand of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, and ice cream novelty products, manufactured by Ben & Jerry's Homemade Holdings, Inc., headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont, United States, with the main factory in Waterbury. The company is now owned by the conglomerate Unilever.-Wikipedia

Would you pay RM 15 for Curry Mee?
What would you expect in a RM 15 Curry Mee? Abalone? Too pricy... Shark Fins? Bad for the sharks... Bird nest? I wish...
Check it out yourself...
Got 1 extremely huge big prawn... La La.. and Tau Fu Pok and no more liao....
It tasted good and the curry is thick. Not spicy though.
Would you pay RM 15 for this?

Food: Anago, the white eel sushi...
Anago (穴子, or アナゴ, Anago?) is the Japanese word for salt-water eels, which are a seafood dish in Japan. Anago are often simmered (sushi) or deep-fried (tempura), compared to unagi (freshwater eels) which are usually barbecued with a sauce (kabayaki). Anago is also slightly less rich and oily than unagi. - Wikipedia
Many had tried Unagi, but have you tried Anago before? Anago is a sea eel. Read more about it here.

Wendy's Burgers.... It has been a while...
My prawn burger meat at Wendy's @ Sunway Pyramid
Looks tasty, a bit small but it was alright...
Sigh.... it has been a while...to be precise it should be more than 13-15 years.... Many might not remember that Sungei Wang Plaza used to have Wendy's on the 2nd floor in the 80s. Please do mind that Sg Wang was the hottest mall in Malaysia at that moment together with Ampang Park and Asia Jaya.
After knowing Wendy's reopened in Malaysia @ Sunway Pyramid and I was so happened to be there, there was no stopping me to try this burger after so many bloody years. It might be in the middle range of McD and Burger King but its was pretty good but just a bit small to my liking... I mean the burger. I will go again for the other burgers but it was decent....

Addictive Cheeze with Poppy Seeds??
My dearest cousin got me something very addictive from OZ. Its not really about Arnott's Shapes or the Cheddar & Peppercorn. Its more about the poppy seeds. Also known as "kas kas" locally mainly for Indian foods or nasi kandar. Well anything about this is not fried, its baked. Another reason you can eat more stuffs like this right?

Dinner at Uniquely Fisherman

Okay okay... I confess. It is my first time to Uniquely Fisherman and gosh they really have good seafoods to eat. I mean stuffs like spider and snow crabs. The dinner table is huge, 16 seatings. Dinner was good, thanks to Uncle Dillon. Good place for seafood, a bit pricy though. More pictures HERE.Wednesday, January 02, 2008

J.Co Donuts & Coffee...Review?
A brand name that is trusted for delicious donuts?
The infamous queue... Is it really worth the wait?
The lovely box that shares the J.CO way...
Since I can't sleep right now, I decide to blog about some donuts. Well, since the opening at Pavillion KL, the queue has been infamously long. Stories about the queue as long as an hour. An hour for donuts? We, Malaysians can wait for good food. Thats one thing true about us. When you talk about queue, we queue for food but never for buses and taxis. Shame truth. About the donuts, it was good depending which flavor you ordered. My personal fav will be the double choc and the peanut butter thingy. Well, if you want a shorter queue you can go to Sunway Pyramid new wing LG. Go early, shorter queue! This post is not sponsored nor paid by J.Co, its just being me liking to eat lovely donuts and great foods. :)Tuesday, December 04, 2007
