Nostalgia? I read the manga around 13-14 years ago. I was quite true, it really a lot of people inspired by this manga or anime. I was playing basketball for a good 1-2 years at that time. Practicing free throws and 3 pointers. It seems to be a very memorable old story to me. I just watched the re-run on Animax. It is splendid for Animax to show Slam Dunk. The anime version of Slam Dunk has one match (few episodes) that is not even featured in the original manga. I always put Slam Dunk as same rank as Dragonball Z. I used to love Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2.
