I've been to numerous events. Either from work or invites for blogging, I've been to quite a number of it. I noticed a huge difference between journalists and bloggers.
During most events, when a journalist met another journalist, they will chat like buddies regardless which newspaper or magazine they represent. They could do it for hours, trust me, I've seen those.
HOWEVER, when a blogger met another blogger. All the colours came out.
If a regular blogger met a famous blogger (in most cases), the famous blogger shows the "superior" celebrity face. Trust me, the local celebrities also never carry such attitudes. Sometimes, it was if I owed them money.
If a regular blogger met a gang of bloggers, he or she usually will be ignored. This happened to me many times in events up to today. Say for instance, at the Catbit event, I was totally ignored even though they knew who I was. The feeling I got was like, "I think I should walk off, cause I'm totally ignored and not existed". If you got such feelings, this are common. Bloggers are like that, if you not agree, prove it!
Then, if a Nuffnang blogger met a Adverlet blogger, they just say hi and walk off. No sportsmanship. I've seen many.
And if a food blogger like me meet lifestyle bloggers, they will sometimes still take picture with me. But never will post it in their blog. We food bloggers not blogger? Or I'm too fat and ugly to be posted?
Bloggers dear bloggers, why are we so much difference than the journalists? Are we really so stuck up because our pride as bloggers? Think again!

hmm. true. real true.
You forgot to mention food blogger meet food blogger .... WE LIKE TO PARTY !!!!!
it's "don agree", not "not agree". don say i din remind u, later ur dad disappointed again ar. LOL.
I got your photo in my blog. Woo hoo~~~...
I agree lol..
however i think that second last point... take picture but didn't post up, i think that's kinda normal ahaha!
probably because i don't wish to flood my page with whole long list of pictures (page loading slow), and also probably because that picture might be out of focus(if ur using dslr) or smtg of which not suitable to post...
the blogger might not have done it purposely wan =]
Strange life of bloggers... I didn't know that! Interesting.
why so u emo one? hmmmm.. i agree w bryan. not necessarily everyth u sed is done on purpose ma. unless supersensitive to every single action dat every blogger does to another blogger? hmmm
People change when they get attention...people change when they joined Nuffnang or when they have their own clans..
I understand how u feel cuz i experienced numerous time oledi. Because I don have freaking DSLR like them, i ended up taking picture for them. think i'm wat?
Oso, when bloggers attend an event, they make hoohaa all around. Journalist and reporter at least take their job seriously and cover the event in a sense of professionalism. Oh well, I forgot, blogger is not even a profession at all.
Like I said, when the small cock get famous, they try to make noise everywhere.
Perhaps, Wilson, u forget to mention about ppl who changed their way of blogging just because they wanna be like SOMEBODY. From normal rant about life to something like event blog, truly hypocrite.
Look at it this way: Journalists do it for a living, bloggers do it for... well, I don't know, for the fame and killing their free time?
As a journalist, EVERY contacts are your assets and information smells like trading chips. You never know if one of them will save your ass in near future.
As a blogger, FAMOUS contacts are your assets and exclusive invitations are your trading chips. Anyone can buy or beg a movie ticket, but only few can dine with LeeHom and not being on his payroll.
An automotive blogger would drool at the sight of Ferrari Enzo parked in front of their home. Top Gear staffs would just scoff and cycle to work.
If someone feels that he was ignored and he only wait for someone to say hi to him instead of the other way round it would makes himself feel more ignored =)
After all these are some of the things that differentiate journalist and blogger.
To All:
This is a very subjective issue. I did say hi to many or probably my face is too lansi so people think I'm lansi. Either way, I'm not emo, this was just how I feel. Or probably some bloggers might have the same feelings as I did or not. Either way, like I said, its subjective!
I did try to be nice, and still nice. :P
Well. True, this is very subjective. Agreed that some of the things you said might be true, but again,be natural. Don't be afraid to join in conversations. I disagree with bern's DSLR thing. In singapore, all of us uses (so far that I knew, including myself) a digital camera or even a handphone camera. And yupe, then again,I also wouldn't want my blog to be flooded with pictures. Blogs can't be flooded with pictures taken with every friend,it'd be boring too. I'm sure some of the blogs have got you inside! :D
well the response may differ depending of various perspective.. somehow i agree with your points.. especially with the "they are in a gang, huhuhaha around and i'm ignored"..
even tho i've never been to any outings with bloggers, i think i'd experience the same.. bloggers these days think highly of themselves, and that sucks.. no matter how good you are, or how famous you are, you're still human.. be friendly and interact..
anyway, well said.. thumbs up! =)

oh btw, when i take pictures with friends, i dont necessarily post them up with my post... for example, my graduation entry.. i took lots of pics with friends.. but MOST of them are not up..
i dont expect my friends to be disappointed or what, (actually they are very supportive) but it's my way of preparing the entry.. i try to reduce "faces" and focus more on entry-related photos.. =)

Well obviously it's like the state of mind they're in no? :D lol. Can you imagine Journalists thinking at the level maturity of a blogger? OMG.
Kill me now.
Neh, journalists have some sense of socializing skills and manners compared to children these days. :)
huh? i agree n dun agree in a way. to me very simple, if u feel like knowing them jus approach nia. talk n say hi watsoever.
regular or not, if they're friendly, they're worth befriending.
if they ignore u, screw them lar. not like u have no true frens at all anwyays.
