Invited for Wendy's New Menu Launch

Well, I blogged about my experience and my love with Wendy's Burger last July.

Little did I know that they were aware of it. So they invited me to an event a few months ago, I was busy back then. Lately, the nice people of Wendy's invited me again for their new RM 6.99 menu, I couldn't held back.

The launch was in Berjaya Times Square coincidentally at their new outlet at Level 3. I went there a bit early as my office is quite near Times Square, I snapped a few pictures.

Me, sitting on my table awaits the start of the launch.

Managing director of Wendy's Malaysia....

Few facts I learned....

1. Berjaya Times Square outlet is Wendy's Malaysia's 8th outlet.
2. Expected to open up to 70 outlets in the next few years.
3. Currently only based in KL...
4. Chicken used for Fried Chicken is not frozen chicken...
5. After tasting 2 of their new meals, I still love their prawn burger...

After the formality of the opening speechless, I was treated with the new menus! I had Fried Chicken and Cheeseburger. My review HERE.

It nice to have "budget" meals available at bad times like this. "Budget" meal with great value.

CSU (Charles Sturt University) Gathering 2009

It has been almost 7 years since we left CSU Wagga Wagga Campus in NSW, Australia. Some had married, some stayed on, some moved away, some turned gay and some still around. Like many other friends, it has been a while since I've met them. Its more like a sign on my forehead states "Anti-social".

Eelise is going to move to Japan permanently with his husband. Knowing Eelise for almost 10 years, there's no way that we are not going to have a mini gathering cum farewell party for her.

We were treated with a Japanese feast. Home cooked by Eelise herself, she took a few hours to prepare the meals. When we were in campus back then, I did most of the cooking for Rachel and sometimes for her as well. Now, she became a good cook, signs of an establishing housewife.

b-3

We had buta-katsu, japanese curry, miso soup, japanese potato salad, spicy rice noodle, salad with Japanese sauce and spicy pickles. It was an amazing feast.

b-4

The table was filled with so much joy. Much more like the times we had in campus.

Group picture with the gang. There so much laughter and memories brought from the past. To those who couldn't made it, I wished that you all were there. Yet, we could arrange another gathering later on.

I missed Wagga wagga, I missed Australia and I missed the other mates.

Summary of Naruto Vs. Pein Fight. A 10th Anniversary logo is seen. A list of people listed as "dead" killed by Pein. Surprising enough, Kakashi is never listed as "dead". The agony has started, waiting for a few more days for the spoiler.

Havana EStudio 10th Anniversary Party

Last year's Dec 13, there was a great party. It was so great, it took me more than 2 months to blog about it. It was the Havana Estudio 10th Anniversary Party!

I stopped learning salsa since 4-5 months ago. Reason being that me and Rachel thought a break would be nice. Then, it became longer until the 10th Anniversary Party where we had lots of fun. Since the theme was celebrity/superstar theme, I tried to wear as close to the theme.

ss1

Tony wanted to give us a surprise. He bought his "suit" from India. It cost him a few hundred ringgit getting the whole attire.

ss2

We were looking for Sam and Aishah and we found them. Sam was P. Ramlee while Aishah was Saloma. Very cheeky! They had a very cute "Malaysian" salsa dance. It was really good!

ss3

Then, we met "Ali G" Derick and "Bjork" Lena. Derick got himself quite a number bling-bling for his theme.

A few dance performances were shown. Then, I was chosen for the best dress men. I told the crowd, I was trying to impersonate "Kung Fu Panda" and I won a night stay at Westin.

ss4

It was a memorable salsa dancing night as we danced till late. It has been a while since I enjoyed it so much.

From tomorrow onwards, I'm back to salsa classes with Havana Estudio. It's nice to go back and have fun again. ~~~ Salsa!!~~~
