The Earth That Stood Stills Movie Review

Today, its one of the few times that I went to the cinema (even its premier), its not for the movie. Its more to the credits. For the people who read my blog or knew me close enough, knew that my younger brother is working in an animation company in LA. Yes, he is involved in this movie and he is credited in the movie. Before this, his works were shown in movies like Hulk, Meet Dave, AVP-R, Wanted and more...

Back to the movie... The movie started every fast, showing the asteroid to hit earth. Jennifer (a professor) was called upon and stumbled what we called "alien". In many movies we seen in the past, humans tend to shoot or kill the alien without even saying hi. Well, maybe that is the extend of "kiasu-ness" of the Americans. From the trailer, we've seen Keanu Reeves. And here, I can confirmed it, he is the alien (without kung fu). I'm going to spoil the front part a bit here. When the alien came out, the soldier shot him down... Jennifer saved him and he grew to become Keanu. Keanu then represents the alien community wanted to talk to UN but well again, a fat chick so called secretary of state of USA think otherwise. She wanted to keep Keanu the alien captive. In the alien movies, humans never can defeat aliens.... so in this movie, theres no exceptions. Jennifer helped Keanu to run away and the adventure starts there.

The show starting to drag from the middle till the end. I'm not gonna comment much about the ending and the movie. I felt that the story could be much stronger in a few aspects. There are few funny moments here and there. Ya, this is a science fiction movie...
