I was at The Gardens searching for a quickie dinner and I bumped to Henry Chan of the Amazing Race Asia 3. Rachel saw him first and she was like ... "Hey, that's Henry!!"
So due to my amazingly kiasu-ness... I went to ask him for a photo session.
Well...which turn to a nice short conversation with him.
The first thing I told him was I was so pissed off when they were knocked out of the race from the yesterday's show.
He did mention about the "flight incident" and he did ask us to cheer for the Malaysian team... (hints??)
Rachel asked him about the tri-cycle accident and Henry told us that he still got the bruises from the incident and Bernie fainted after the interview...
Henry did mention that the race is something he never regretted doing in his life and he encourages we Malaysians to try to join the race... Its a race of lifetime...
I would say it is my pleasure to meet him and talked to him personally. He is super friendly and nice. Well, we didn't catch him for long as he was meeting Bernie as later on.
Henry and Bernie, you guys did Malaysia proud even though you guys were knocked out....
Now our glory is left to Ida and Tania... Malaysia BOLEH!!!

I'm not going to miss this one for sure! Nuffnang is throwing another "Makan-makan" sharing session at Italiannies. This time it would be at 12th Nov @ The Gardens.
The star of the event is no one than KY (not the lubricant), the blogger of Kyspeaks.com
Many food bloggers had read his blog and I'm one of them.
The other highlights of the event would be the new deals from Italiannies. Bowls of Pasta as the below:
Well, I hope I can still manage to jump in the boat for this and meet the rest of the Nuffnang bloggers!

I met Tun Dr. Mahathir
I was holidaying at Langkawi last week with my friends and we went to this place called Harbour Park. The view is amazingly breathtaking...
More of the Harbour Park pictures are HERE.
For your info, there's a Loaf (Japanese Bread Cafe) there also. Opened by Tun Dr. Mahathir....
We saw a group of people went in, and it was Tun himself!! Tun was working on that day!
Without waiting due to my "kiasuness", I went over...
SW: Hi, Tun how are you?
Tun: Good, good.
SW: Can we take a photo with you?
Tun: Can, kalau take picture kena charge.... 1 picture 10 sen.
SW:.....
Tun: Can someone help him to take a picture...
SW: Thank you, Tun....
After I took the picture, many waiting for their chances. Even the "mat salleh" (foreigners) at the area recognized him.
Tun had a tea break there as many people around there tried to get a glimpse of Tun Dr. Mahathir.

What Nuffnangers Do When Innit Was Down Yesterday...
Rachel Had MRI Today....
I thought today I might missed Rachel's scheduled MRI due to some delay of the discussions I had this afternoon. However, due to some emergency of the doctor in charge, the MRI was rescheduled later on. I managed to reach the hospital on time to accompany her for the MRI.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or Nuclear magnetic resonance imagingNMRI), is primarily a medical imaging technique most commonly used in radiology to visualize the structure and function of the body. It provides detailed images of the body in any plane. MRI provides much greater contrast between the different soft tissues of the body than computed tomography (CT) does, making it especially useful in neurological (brain), musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and oncological (cancer) imaging. - Wikipedia
Rachel reacted in the picture after they gave the needle insertion on the her hand. She didn't like the picture by the way but this is the only pic I took as the other places were not allowed to take pictures.
It looks like we might need drop by to the hospital a few more times before her procedure. Due to my work, I knew the doctor who will be doing the procedure. I knew him for a few years and never I ever thought that Rachel would need his services (even though my gut feelings told me that one day I might need his help). I had a great conversation with him today as the other times we were mostly talking about plainly work.
Rachel and I had a great relief as the results look very good and promising. Rachel was very worried for the past few days and today after the MRI, I can see her happy again.

So Many Nurses
I felt so lucky....
First time in my life, I took picture with so many nurses.... :P
Took this in one of my client's event and I just can't resist posting this up.... hehe....
By the way thanks to **** for loudly announcing that I'm single and available to the nurses in the event. I was so "pai seh" at that time. There were so many eyes on me... shy shy...

3 Wedding Events In A Weekend...
Like I did mention last week that I did have 3 wedding events in a weekend. On Saturday afternoon, I attended Gerald's church wedding. I seldom attend church weddings, so Gerald's will be one to be remembered.
Due to not enough sleep, my eyes were relatively smaller than ever....I do mean it...
The Gang in front of the church with the lovely couple...
During the evening, I attended another wedding. My ex-classmate Lai Ping's wedding.
The few bunch of ex-La Sallians Peel Road... And as usual someone by the name of Kevin Chat Chee Wee FFK (no show) again. Sometimes I don't understand why promise if you don't come?
Me and the lovely couple...
The next day, I have the final wedding event. Gerald's lunch wedding....
Me and the gang....
The gang and the lovely couple...
Its really happy to see 2 happy couples started a new journey in their life. I believe it takes a lot of courage to get married. Well, of course one day I will go thru that journey...
but for now.... who wants to marry me???

I Salute My Video Cameraman!
I had been busy and going to be busy until end month... I had an early morning shoot today... and I must say I salute my video cameraman....
He was basically hanging up there by himself, almost 80 feet on the air filming....
Check out the pictures...
Vertical look... not so high eh...
Check out this pic... its even higher than the tree...
Basically a person so high on the air even with safety helmet and safety harness will have their balls shrink.... and my guy needs to even film the building up and down, loves the air...
Since he loved it so much, I hanged him up there for 30 min to get sunburned!
It didn't happen.. I was joking about the sunburn thing... Busy days ahead!!! 3 wedding events over this weekend and 4 shoots till Wednesday....

Would you pay RM 15 for Curry Mee?
What would you expect in a RM 15 Curry Mee? Abalone? Too pricy... Shark Fins? Bad for the sharks... Bird nest? I wish...
Check it out yourself...
Got 1 extremely huge big prawn... La La.. and Tau Fu Pok and no more liao....
It tasted good and the curry is thick. Not spicy though.
Would you pay RM 15 for this?

Thailand's Latest Scandal: Four Mod secretly filmed while showering...
While I ran thru some forums yesterday and I find this quite interesting. Apparently, a pop teen sensation named Four Mod was secretly filmed in Khon Kaen, Northeast Thailand in one of their promo during Songkran. Like many scandals in Asia, it was made into VCD and sold in black market.
Four-Mod defined in Wikipedia
Why do I blog about this? I tell you why. Many of us (Malaysians) traveled to Thailand. And things like this happened in a hotel. Of course, it could be happening in Malaysia which we all knew about it.
Their press conference in Thai... Don't u expect me to understand as well...
This is how the video looks like... of course this is not the real thing... Got this from YouTube...
Basically, to know certain things like this will make us more aware of the hotel room we stayed and the windows in the bathroom. Just hope they catch the culprits and bring them to justice....
Four-Mod defined in Wikipedia
Four-Mod (โฟร์-มด) is a Thai pop duo consisting of two girls, Four and Mod, formed in 2005.
Twenty-one-year-old Sakonratt Worn-aurai (Four) and 16-year-old Chutimon Chairat (Mod) are currently at the top of Thailand’s girl-group heap. Since they made their debut two years ago, Four-Mod have been popping up everywhere — on TV, in the papers, on posters and on the radio.
Their bubblegum pop songs are popular in pubs and clubs, encouraging enthusiastic party-goers to get up and dance. The girls are keeping that energy going with their new album 'Wooo!', and a hectic, non-stop schedule. - Wikipedia

My New Halloween Banner
It has been a while since I change my banner.... The last time was a few months back... Since I'm free today and I'm craving for Halloween... I changed my banner to Halloween Style... So I decided to dig my Times Square (New York) pictures I took last year and photoshop it...
Before...
After...
I managed to slot in Nuffnang banner (Halloween theme) and redo the lighting as though its there... and a bit of re-sizing and re-cropping....
Add my text and change it black and red blood outer glow... Re-sized it to banner size and done!
I'll hang this banner till early Nov and change it to a new banner again.
I hope you guys like this banner...

I’m Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic‘
I was supposed to go for an event at the end of the month but the client decided to postpone it to a week later. So the first thing to comes to my mind is the Nuffnang Halloween Party...
I hope its still not too late for me to join the bandwagon for one of the Nuffnang's exciting event so I had been trying to think a way to go to the Halloween party....
So I decided to call Mr. Halloween...
Well, of course we are still waiting a formal confirmation from Boss Tim but we are already thinking our costume for the Halloween party already!!
I'm damn sure Chris will be in a Tomato suit. So tomato is not good for me. Either way, I would love to meet the rest of the bloggers again for this party.
Of course it would be nice of Nokia to give out so many gifts at that night itself.
I'm damn sure those 2 are just small little teaser of the bigger prizes offered by Nokia.
Well, I must say thanks yet again to Nuffnang, our own Malaysian Blogging Advertising company for organizing such creative event for fellow Malaysia Bloggers again... Kudos..

A Tiring Day
Its not like I overworked till I'm tired. Mainly because I took some medicine and I felt drowsy for the whole day. It is a simple day today, going to recording studio to do some voice over recording with clients. Ended much earlier than expected...
Since I was Kelana Jaya, I manage to askTomatoman Chris out for lunch. He's still feel a bit unwell so we went for "light" lunch. Had a lengthy chat with him though...
I think he just cut his hair short... and I need to move now coz I have a video shoot tonight...

Superwilson Met "Siberian" Huskies
Well, basically I was window shopping for some furnitures for my house and saw 2 huskies... Siberia or not, I'm not sure but I damn sure I saw 2 huskies...
So then I went to the owner and asked permission to take pictures with the dogs and so happened that I knew the owner... The dogs are really adorable... The white one is Cosmos and the brown is Chaos....
The moment I was there, they were sniffing my pants... I knew they werebitches female dogs... So predictable...
They were proud dogs, Cosmos looked away and Chaos pretending I'm not there when I tried to take their pictures...
See... they still looked away... Sigh...
Well, only Cosmos at least tried to say "Cheesseee"...
But then she looked away again...
So then me as usual wanna camwhore with the dogs... Only Cosmos layan me, Chaos looked away... Chaos got jealous... hehhee...
After a short chat with Debbie (the owner), this dogs are hard to maintain and pricey too... Remember, dogs are cute but getting one is a huge responsibility...

White Water Rafting @ Slim River...
I was lost of words when I was tagged along for white water rafting last week. Reason being is I was too worried about the whole thing. Damn, I was so damn wrong!
I had to wake up early that day to pick up the girls to a meet up point where we had breakfast and begin our journey. Little did I know that the group was around 36 ppl...
We convoyed to Tanjong Malim and the organizer brought us to a meet up point...
I was basically driving with my gang, Anson, Angie and Rachel...
Once we were there, I was introduced to more friends... Like usual, waste no more time... Camwhore!!
Once we put our belongings, we will be transported to the starting point. Well, to make things easier we hopped to a truck to lead to our next destination. We really look like refugees here... Sigh....
Once we reached at the start up point, we grouped. There, we were briefed about the safety and the equipments. I must say these guys are really dedicated and professional. Basically, my worries and fear were gone once the brief was over. Mainly because they use top notch equipments and the safety briefing was a good one. From there I know that there was only ONE bloody thing to worry, its to have FUN!!
We got our safety jacket, our helmet and our paddle and once again, camwhore!!
We were then separated to 8 groups where me, Rachel, Anson, Angie and Joe is in our raft! Here we goes!!!
(Before we went to the raft, Rachel slipped and got a pretty bad cut to her hand, she was okay... but the rocks were slippery... beware)
At first I thought what I saw on ESPN about rafting is all about paddling, I was so damn wrong. In fact, its more to teamwork. Slim River is a Level 2-3 river, so its a beginner river. When in the raft, we were needed to move around to any four directions based to our leader to guide our raft when our raft stuck on the rock, so we needed to constantly moving around. Paddling is only to move the raft but once the raft is stuck, we needed to move around in the raft to move the raft.
Once we started our rafting, a group's raft went turtled and we managed to rescue one of the girl. It was not dangerous because there are a lot of people around standby but rescuing a person requires teamwork. Then we continue our journey and thanks to you we had this nice photo sequence...
We embraced ourselves as our leader telling us to get ready for a small waterfall..
We went down smoothly and we need to go down to another one!
We got stuck here!
We managed to break free and we were getting overturned!!
We still manage to hold on!!
And....
We made it through!!!
We were later given a break at the river bank as we were served with apples, power bars and Snickers. Then we continued our journey.
Later on, we managed to see the Orang Asli taking bath here.
Then, we ended our 2 hours journey. It was quite a moment and a very joyful adventure.
There were no big injuries and everyone had fun!
We were gathered at the one of Orang Asli village as we will be transported back at the meet up point. Rachel and me took a picture here...
After that we were served lunch and that was the end of the rafting.
The whole rafting was nice and seriously I don't mind doing it again at another river with the same level or slightly higher. However, I will only do it with my own group as we did had lots of fun in the raft. I think everyone should give this sport a try and getting the right organizer might plays a part as well. I will leave the organizer contact here once I finds it.
For now, I need to take a rest for tonight's Hari Raya house party. Thanks for reading....
